Corn was rated 55% in good-to-excellent condition, unchanged from the previous week, and soybean condition was rated 54% as of Sunday, down 1 percentage point from the previous week, according to this week's USDA NASS Crop Progress report.

Three top Democrats on the House Agriculture Committee called for funding the Commodity Credit Corp. in a short-term budget deal to avoid any delay in Market Facilitation Program payments to farmers. Republicans have pointed to the possibility of Democrats not funding the aid payments in a short-term funding bill Congress needs to pass.
December corn is up 1 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1 1/2 cents, and December K.C. wheat is up 2 3/4 cents.
Nothing went on in the cash market Tuesday with no bids or offers being set. The rally in cattle futures Wednesday likely will not have much influence on opening bids as price increases have yet to change the trend. Hog futures struggled all Tuesday with December closing limit down.
